The GoodOnYa Bar Review and Giveaway

I recently had the opportunity to try out The GoodOnYa Bar and I have to say, I don't know how I got so lucky with getting to try it. I'm such a meal bar junkie and I am constantly looking to find ones that are not only good in flavor, but ones that offer great benefits as well.

Many meal bars that are sold in the market today offer promises of a healthy alternative to unhealthy snacking. This all sounds wonderful but, are they really providing you with these benefits? Other than what's written on the box, how do we know if these are all actually true? This is where The Good On Ya Bar differs from other brands.

The GoodOnYa Bar came into fruition through incredible mind of Kristen Buchanan who is a "certified nutritionist, cafe owner, an Olympic athlete, and studies holistic nutrition." This is a wealth of credibility yet, she is absolutely so modest. Through her extensive research and an astronomical amount of information about one's health, she was able to develop The GoodOnYa Bar. The GoodOnYa Bar is exactly what it says it is--not only in the title, but in the quality of its contents. What's also different about them is the fact that they admit to it being high in fat! Don't get me wrong here. You may not find that statement to be much of a benefit, but not all fats are bad. The ones found in The GoodOnYa Bars include good for your body fats such as those found in heart healthy nuts (Brazil nuts), unfiltered olive oil, sunflower seeds, and raisins. That's not even the best part. I looked at the ingredients list and I was quite impressed with the fact that 100% of the ingredients are organic! If that doesn't scream quality, then I don't know what does. A lot of products in the market claim their desire to provide their customers with healthy ingredients yet, their ingredients say otherwise. The GoodOnYa Bar is simply what's on the ingredients list with the complexity of all their benefits. A big plus is the fact that I can pronounce each of the ingredients and know what in the world it is. That's plenty more than what other brands can say.

When I received my box of goodies, I had 3 different flavor options to try. I delved right in and ripped open the first bar that touched my hand. Turns out I tried the Breakfast bar first.....at 5:00 pm in the evening.....worked out just fine in my head.

I could immediately taste and yes, feel the difference. Most meal bars are sticky and have chunks of just....stuff rolling around in your mouth making things stick to your teeth. The GoodOnYa Breakfast Bar had a pleasant melt in your mouth aspect to it that made chewing it a lot less laborious. The package stated that it is 74% raw, which means I was eating 74% natural ingredients that have not been tampered with and have not been processed. The only sweetness it had were from the organic maple syrup and organic dark chocolate, which in my opinion was the perfect amount of sweetness. No sugar substitutes, just plain old natural sweeteners. A new devoted fan has emerged.

The next day, I proceeded to try the next two bars: Peanut Butter Chocolate and Peanut Butter Honey. I was disappointed. Not in the taste of the bars, but in the fact that my husband had snagged one without me knowing it. He LOVES peanut butter AND chocolate, so it just made sense that he tried the Peanut Butter Chocolate. So, I tried the peanut butter honey one that was left for me. This one had a slightly toastier flavor because of the organic sesame seeds, which I loved. Again, no stickiness and no laborious attempts to chew it to pieces. Sweetened with organic honey and laced with the goodness of organic peanut butter. I thoroughly, and truly enjoyed the flavors in this one.

When my husband got home, I asked him how the peanut butter chocolate bar tasted. He gave a slight crooked smile to acknowledge that he had taken it without me knowing it. Being the "man of little words" that he is, he said it was good and he finished it during his short bus ride to work that morning. Now that I think of it, he never was a big meal bar person like I am. That says a lot knowing that he finished it without any hesitation. I'm going to assume he enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the previously mentioned bars and sulk in the fact that I didn't get to try it. Looks like I'll be going out to buy it soon.

If you're not already familiar with The GoodOnYa Bar, it is definitely worth giving a try. It was made with the health nut in mind and developed to to cater to those who yearn for flavor. It's an all around win-win.
